Join two time World Champion Minnesota Twin Al Newman and Collegiate Head Coach Matt Magers Minnesota State-Mankato along with his staff and other area college coaches for a holiday baseball camp presented by the Metro Baseball League.
Who: All players ages 9-16.
What: Two days of top flight baseball instruction from some of Minnesota's most accomplished and recognizable baseball names and their staff.
Where: Irish Sports Dome, Rosemount, MN
Why: To develop baseball skills and provide a fun and positive baseball experience
When: Monday, December 29, 2008 9am - 3pm and Tuesday, December 30, 2008 9am - 3pm
Cost for the two day clinic is just $100. Players are encouraged to bring bag lunches on both days. There is plenty of parking available at the Irish Sports Dome.
Matt Magers Head Coach is a former Chicago Cubs minor leaguer and a South Dakota State standout. He is in his eighth season as a coach with the Minnesota State-Mankato. Matt was the Mavericks pitching coach for the past eight seasons.
The Irish Sports Dome is one of the best and largest indoor baseball facilities in the state. Fundamentals will be taught and reinforced in all aspects of the game. There will be approximately one member of the camp staff for every eight players. Players will be divided into age groups.
