14AAA 2008 Tournament

Congratulations to Apple Valley for winning the 14AAA Farmington Invitational!

In the championship game, they defeated Shakopee 19-1. Both teams earned

a MSF and MBT state berth.

 

Taking 3rd was Rosemount, defeating Woodbury. Rosemount also earned

a MBT state berth.

 

Thank you players, teams, fans and volunteers for making the 14AAA Farmington

Invitational a success.

Farmington Travel Baseball (FTBA) will host a 14AAA travel baseball
tournament June 13-15.

Nine teams will be participating in the tournament, which features some of the best 14-year-old baseball teams in the south metro. Teams include Farmington, Apple Valley, Hastings, Mankato, Red Wing, Rosemount, Shakopee, West St. Paul and Woodbury. The first and second place teams will earn an automatic bid to the Metro Baseball League (MBL) and Minnesota Sports Federation (MSF) state baseball tournaments in July.

Games will be played at Farmington's Varsity and JV fields at the northeast corner of Highway 50 and Aiken Road. The first game will begin on Friday, June 13, 4:15 p.m. at the Varsity Field with Farmington versus Red Wing. On Saturday, the tournament will continue at 8:00 a.m. with Farmington taking on West St. Paul. The championship bracket will begin Sunday at 8:00 a.m. with the championship and 3rd-place games starting at 2:45 p.m.
